The clever bit here is what you do not taste: valerian usually wrecks a cup with a sweaty, earthy note, but at just 4 percent and buried under orange blossom, blood orange and lavender, it stays out of the way. So this is the valerian tea for people who hated valerian tea, sweet, citrus-floral and smooth rather than medicinal. I make no promises about your sleep, and the lavender at 12 percent is assertive enough to read as soapy if florals are not your thing. On taste alone, though, it is one of the more drinkable bedtime blends.
