The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

This turns Twinings Sleep Valerian into a cosy, milky evening drink: brew it strong, then top with warm frothed milk, a little honey and a drop of vanilla. The camomile and vanilla make it a soft, mellow mug, and it is naturally caffeine-free.

⏱ 10 min 🍽 Makes 1 mug 📊 Easy 📚 Camomile Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 2 tea bags of Twinings Sleep Valerian
  • 120ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 150ml milk or oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • A drop of vanilla extract

Method

  1. Brew strong: steep the 2 bags in the boiled water for 6 minutes, then lift them out.
  2. Warm the milk in a small pan or microwave, then froth it with a whisk or frother.
  3. Stir the honey and vanilla into the hot tea.
  4. Pour the frothed milk over the tea, spoon the foam on top, and serve warm.
  5. Froth the milk well, as a good foam makes the latte feel richer without more sugar.
What you'll end up with: A warm, lightly sweet latte with soft camomile and vanilla under a layer of foam.
