Brewing Twinings Sleep Valerian (Camomile and Valerian Root)

How to brew Twinings Sleep Valerian: just boiled water and a five minute steep for a soft camomile and valerian cup.

Brewing Twinings Sleep Valerian (Camomile And Valerian Root)

Twinings Sleep Valerian is a caffeine free herbal: camomile and lemon balm lead, a faint cool spearmint sits in the middle, and the earthy valerian root rounds it off. That valerian note is what makes it taste different from a plain camomile. Being herbal, give it a full five minute steep in just boiled water.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Twinings Sleep Valerian
  • 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A little honey, to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Pop the bag into your favourite cup or mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water.
  3. Steep for a full 5 minutes to draw out the camomile and valerian root.
  4. Lift out the bag, add a little honey if you like, and enjoy. No milk needed.
  5. Valerian root is slow to release, so do not rush the steep.
What you'll end up with: A soft, floral camomile cup with cool spearmint and an earthy valerian finish, caffeine free and easy in the evening.
