The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Twinings Quiet Mind is a caffeine-free herbal: camomile leads, a delicate lavender sits in the middle, and lemon balm and peppermint freshen the finish. The lavender is what marks it out, so it pays not to over-brew it. Give it a five minute steep in just-boiled water.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Twinings Quiet Mind
  • 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A little honey, to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Pop the bag into your favourite cup or mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water.
  3. Steep for 5 minutes to draw out the camomile and lavender.
  4. Lift out the bag, add a little honey if you like, and enjoy. No milk needed.
  5. Go easy if you are new to lavender, as a longer steep makes it much stronger.
What you'll end up with: A soft, floral camomile cup with a gentle lavender middle and a fresh lemon-balm finish, caffeine-free.
