The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Yogi Tea Organic Bedtime is an Ayurvedic-style blend of camomile, lemon balm, valerian and fennel with cinnamon, cardamom and liquorice. Brewed five minutes, it steeps into a soft, pale-gold herbal brew, honeyed camomile at the front, a lemony lift through the middle and a gently spiced, naturally sweet finish. An easy cup for the end of the day.

⏱ 6 min 🍽 Makes 1 mug 📊 Easy 📚 Camomile Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yogi Tea Organic Bedtime
  • 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, optional, to taste
  • A slice of lemon, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in your favourite mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the camomile and spices come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Stir in a little honey if you like, though the liquorice gives a natural sweetness.
  5. Sip warm, a soft, fragrant cup for the evening.
  6. Steep the full five minutes; the camomile and liquorice are slow to come through, and a short brew leaves it mostly fennel.
What you'll end up with: A gentle, caffeine-free, pale-gold cup, honeyed and faintly spiced, soft enough for the evening.
