Yogi is a serious herb-blender that happens to have a slightly hippie-ish front-of-box. Don't let that put you off. The Bedtime is one of the most-effective sleep teas we sell, the Choco Aztec Spice is genuinely a chocolatey post-dinner cup, and the Detox does a respectable job of being a daily liver cup that doesn't taste medicinal. Every bag has a wisdom quote, ignore them or enjoy them, the tea is what counts.

Yogi Tea grew out of a recipe, not a boardroom. In 1969 the yoga teacher Yogi Bhajan began serving students a warming Ayurvedic blend of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger and black pepper that they nicknamed Yogi Tea. Demand turned the recipe into a product, built from the start on the principle that a blend should be composed for balance and effect rather than only flavour, which is why the range is organised by purpose rather than just taste. Every tea bag still carries a short saying on the string tag, a small ritual signalling how the brand wants the cup approached.

The range is broad and tightly themed around wellbeing occasions: the original Classic chai, the bestselling Bedtime, throat comfort, cleanse and a wide herbal and green spread, all certified organic and built around named botanicals.
