Cold Brew Green Tea with Peach
A foolproof overnight cold brew of green tea with fresh peach, smooth and naturally sweet, served over ice.

Cold water is Green Tea's friend. Because nothing ever gets hot, the harsh, bitter compounds a hot pot pulls out never get the chance, so you are left with something smooth, naturally sweet and very easy to drink. Slices of fresh peach steeped in alongside the bags do the rest. There is nothing to time carefully and nothing to ruin: leave it overnight and strain it in the morning.

You'll need
- 4 pyramid tea bags of Teapigs Green Tea With Peach
- 1L cold filtered water
- 3 thin slices of fresh peach (skin on, for the carafe)
- 4 extra fresh peach slices for the serving glasses
- 1 1L glass carafe with a tight seal lid
- 1 fine mesh sieve for straining
- 1 tall 450ml serving glass per serving, chilled
- Enough cubed ice per serving (about 250g)
Method
- Drop the 4 pyramid bags and the 3 peach slices into a 1-litre carafe or jug.
- Pour over 1 litre of cold, filtered water.
- Seal and leave in the fridge for twelve hours, or overnight.
- Strain through a fine sieve into a clean jug and discard the steeped peach.
- Serve over plenty of ice, dropping a fresh peach slice into each glass.
- Keep the rest sealed in the fridge and drink within two days.
- Tip: cold brewing pulls far less caffeine than a hot pot, so it is a gentle option later in the day.
