The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Jasmine is a delicate, floral tea, and cold brewing treats it kindly. Left in cold water in the fridge overnight, Twinings Jasmine Green Tea gives up its scent slowly and evenly, so the iced tea you pour the next day is gently perfumed rather than stewed or bitter. It is one of the prettiest cold brews to drink plain.

⏱ 5 min plus overnight 🍽 Serves 4 📊 Easy 📚 Cold Brew Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Jasmine Green Tea
  • 1 litre cold water
  • A little honey, to taste (optional)
  • Ice and lemon, to serve

Method

  1. Put the 4 bags into a large jug and pour over the cold water.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours, or overnight.
  3. Lift out the bags (no need to squeeze), and stir in a little honey if you want it sweeter.
  4. Serve over ice, plain or with a slice of lemon.
  5. Try it without the lemon: jasmine is all about the floral note, and citrus tends to fight it rather than help.
What you'll end up with: A softly fragrant cold brew with clear jasmine over a gentle green base, light and free of bitterness.
