The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Yogi Tea Organic Ginger, Orange with Vanilla is an unusual three-way cup: a ginger bite up front, bright orange in the middle and a soft, sweet vanilla finish. Brewed five minutes, it is caffeine-free and comforting, and a splash of milk brings the vanilla forward.

⏱ 6 min 🍽 Makes 1 mug 📊 Easy 📚 Ginger Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yogi Tea Organic Ginger, Orange with Vanilla
  • 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A splash of milk, optional
  • Honey, optional, to taste

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in a big mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the ginger, orange and vanilla come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Drink as it is, or add a splash of milk to bring out the soft vanilla, and a little honey if you like.
  5. Sip warm and enjoy a comforting, gently sweet cup.
  6. Whole milk brings the vanilla forward best; the fat binds the vanilla and makes the cup creamy in a way plant milks cannot.
What you'll end up with: A warming, caffeine-free cup, gingery and orange-bright with a soft vanilla finish.
