The Classic Warming Cup of Tetley Lemon and Ginger
A caffeine free zesty then warming cup, brewed long at a full boil to draw out the ginger kick and lemon zest.

The Classic Warming Cup of Tetley Lemon and Ginger is a caffeine free infusion with a zesty lemon hit up front and a comforting, spicy ginger warmth behind it. Brewed properly it stays lively and well balanced rather than fading to weak ginger water the way cheaper bags can.

Serves one. The key is a full boil and a longer steep than a Black Tea, which draws out the real ginger heat and lemon zest. Drink it any time, with no caffeine to worry about.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tetley Lemon and Ginger
- 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- Optional: a slice of fresh lemon, or a little honey
Method
- Pour freshly boiled water at a full 100C over the bag. This herbal infusion can take the heat.
- Steep for 5 minutes, longer than a black tea, to draw out the ginger heat and lemon zest.
- Give the bag a gentle press and lift it out.
- Drink it as it is, or add a slice of lemon to sharpen it, or a little honey to round the ginger.
- For more ginger heat, leave the bag in as you drink; a herbal infusion will not turn bitter the way black tea does.
