Worth knowing the sweetness and that liquorice note come from the fennel itself, there is no added liquorice. As a clean, single-note infusion it is well made and naturally sweet without sugar. Caffeine-free; ignore the indigestion claims and buy it only if you already know you like fennel, because it commits entirely.

Twinings was founded by Thomas Twining in 1706 at 216 Strand, London, where the original shop still operates today, making it the world's oldest continuously operating tea shop. The Twining family ran the business for nine generations and Stephen Twining is the current ambassador. Twinings was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1837 and supplies tea to the UK Royal Household today.
