How to Brew Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea (80C, 2 Minutes)
Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea brewed at 80C for two minutes, so the warm spice carries over a gentle green base. A splash of milk makes it a treat.

Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea is more of a treat than a plain green, but it still wants gentle handling. Bring the kettle off the boil, give it a minute to reach about 80C, and brew for two minutes so the warm gingerbread spice settles over the green leaf instead of turning it harsh. A splash of milk tips it towards pudding.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea
- 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
- A little honey or a splash of milk, to taste (optional)
Method
- Boil the kettle, then let it stand for about a minute so the water drops to around 80C.
- Pop the bag into your cup and pour the water over.
- Steep for 2 minutes, no longer, to keep the leaf soft and let the spice come through.
- Lift out the bag without squeezing it, add a little honey or a splash of milk if you like, and enjoy.
- A tiny pinch of ground cinnamon in the cup alongside the bag deepens the gingerbread spice without changing the brew time.
