How to Brew Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea (80C, 2 Minutes)
Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea brewed at 80C for two minutes, so the gentle apple and pear come through without any sharpness.

Apple and pear are gentle flavours, so this Twinings green needs a soft touch to show them off. Let the boiled kettle sit for a minute until it is down to about 80C, steep for two minutes, and you will taste mellow orchard fruit on a clean green leaf. Push the heat higher and the fruit fades while the tea turns sharp.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea
- 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
- A little honey, to taste (optional)
Method
- Boil the kettle, then let it stand for about a minute so the water drops to around 80C.
- Pop the bag into your cup and pour the water over.
- Steep for 2 minutes, no longer, to keep it mellow and let the fruit through.
- Lift out the bag without squeezing it, and add a little honey only if you feel it needs it.
- Try it without honey first; the apple and pear bring their own sweetness, and sugar can tip it towards squash.
