Gingerbread Green Tea Latte

Strong Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea under frothed milk and a dusting of cinnamon. A spiced tea latte, a bit like a light chai.

Gingerbread Green Tea Latte

This turns Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea into a warm, spiced milky cup, not far off a light chai. Brew the tea strong, froth some milk, then pour one over the other so the gingerbread spice comes through the foam. A dusting of cinnamon on top finishes it.

⏱ 10 min 🍽 Makes 1 cup 📊 Easy 📚 Green Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 2 tea bags of Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea
  • 120ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 120ml warm milk or oat milk
  • A pinch of cinnamon, to dust (optional)

Method

  1. Let the boiled water stand for about a minute, then steep the 2 bags for 3 minutes to make a strong shot, and lift them out.
  2. Stir the honey into the hot tea until it dissolves.
  3. Froth the warm milk and pour it into a cup.
  4. Pour the strong tea over the milk, spoon the foam on top, dust with a pinch of cinnamon, and serve.
  5. Dust with a little nutmeg alongside the cinnamon for a fuller gingerbread note on top of the foam.
What you'll end up with: A comforting spiced latte, milky and softly gingerbread, with a dusting of spice over the foam.
