Like the cerassie, this is a bitter, intensely medicinal single leaf, neem, sometimes called the village pharmacy plant, and it tastes every bit as uncompromising as that suggests: earthy, astringent and nothing like a comforting cup. People who use neem traditionally know exactly what they want; nobody else will enjoy it by accident. Neem comes wrapped in a vast amount of folk-medicine and purification mythology, and I make no health claims for it, full stop. Caffeine-free. A deliberate, niche purchase for those who already know neem, not a tea to explore casually.
