A clever two-stage cup: a sharp, properly warming ginger heat lands first, then liquorice rolls in behind it with a deep natural sweetness that lingers, so it self-sweetens without a grain of sugar. The temples hold whole botanicals, which gives the cup a surprisingly weighty, satisfying body for a caffeine free infusion, far beyond the thin, flat brew many herbal ginger bags settle for. The dividing line is the liquorice: if you love it, this is one of the most moreish ginger teas going; if you do not, the heat-then-sweet trick will not win you over, and the Dragonfly Lemon and Ginger (sharper, citrus-led, no liquorice) is the better pick. It also differs from our Dilmah Ginger and Honey, which is a caffeinated black tea rather than a herbal, so choose this for an evening cup. Ignore the grand claims; it is simply a warming, naturally sweet and comforting brew, and a swirl of honey pushes the sweet stage further if you like.
