How to Brew Lemon and Ginger Tea
How to get the best from lemon and ginger tea: a five minute steep finished with fresh lemon and a swirl of honey.

Lemon and ginger is one of those infusions that works hot or cold and feels good any time of year, all bright citrus and a gentle warming kick from the ginger. This blend already has both, so it needs little help, but a fresh slice of lemon and a small swirl of honey at the end lift it from good to really good. It is caffeine free, so it suits any time of day, right down to last thing at night.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Dragonfly Organic Lively Lemon and Ginger
- 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
- 1 thin slice of fresh lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon of clear honey, for the swirl
- 1 280ml mug, warmed
- 1 saucer for covering during steep
Method
- Warm your mug with a splash of hot water and pour it away.
- Add 250ml of water straight off the boil.
- Drop in the tea bag, cover with a saucer, and steep for five minutes to draw out the ginger heat.
- Lift the bag out, then add a fresh slice of lemon and stir in the honey while it is hot.
- Tip: grate in a little fresh ginger for more heat, or add a squeeze of fresh lemon for extra zing.
