The 100-temple bulk pack is a different SKU to the retail 15-pack. Different secondary packaging, no Teapigs branded sleeve, lighter outer carton. Same tea, same temples, no retail-shelf-presentation costs in the unit price. That is where most of the per-bag saving comes from. Trade packs are not designed to sit on a kitchen counter; they live in a stockroom drawer or under a counter.
For a café going through 20 to 40 cups of Everyday Brew a day, the bulk format is what makes Teapigs pencil-out at a £3 retail. Everyday Brew is Teapigs' English Breakfast-style flagship: Indian Assam, Kenyan and Sri Lankan leaf. The temple format (whole leaf in a translucent pyramid) gives a noticeably fuller cup than a CTC dust-grade bag at the same price point. Hot water needs to circulate around whole leaf to brew properly, and the pyramid geometry does that more reliably than a flat sealed bag. The simplest evidence-of-craft case in the wellness-tea aisle.
