The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Chilled Twinings Orange and Cinnamon turns into a festive fizz: the spiced Black Tea and a little fresh orange juice, lengthened with soda, make a grown-up answer to fizzy orange. A cinnamon stick to stir and orange slices on top, and it earns a place at a Christmas table, no alcohol needed.

⏱ 10 min plus chilling 🍽 Makes 2 glasses 📊 Easy 📚 Tea Mocktails

You'll need

  • 3 tea bags of Twinings Orange and Cinnamon
  • 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 100ml orange juice, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or to taste
  • 200ml chilled soda water
  • Orange slices, a cinnamon stick and plenty of ice

Method

  1. Steep the 3 tea bags in the boiled water for 4 minutes, then lift them out and stir in the honey while warm.
  2. Leave the tea to cool, then chill it well.
  3. Fill two tall glasses with ice and divide the chilled tea and the orange juice between them.
  4. Top each glass with chilled soda water and stir gently.
  5. Finish with orange slices and a cinnamon stick to stir, and serve straight away.
  6. Leave the cinnamon stick in the glass; it releases more spice as you drink, so the last sip is warmer than the first.
What you'll end up with: A spiced, alcohol-free fizz where orange-and-cinnamon tea and fresh orange meet plenty of soda.
