The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

The classic way to brew Tropical Sun Turmeric and Ginger: a glowing golden cup with an earthy turmeric base and a real ginger bite. It is caffeine-free and gently peppery, and a spoon of honey with a squeeze of lemon rounds it off nicely.

⏱ 6 min 🍽 Makes 1 mug 📊 Easy 📚 Ginger Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Tropical Sun Turmeric and Ginger
  • 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, optional, to taste
  • A slice of lemon, optional
  • A tiny pinch of black pepper, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in a big mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the turmeric and ginger come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Stir in a little honey, a squeeze of lemon and, if you like, a tiny pinch of black pepper to lift the turmeric.
  5. Sip warm and enjoy the golden cup.
  6. A small splash of milk or a spoon of coconut cream turns this into a quick golden latte; the fat carries the turmeric and softens the pepper.
What you'll end up with: A warm, caffeine-free golden cup, earthy with turmeric and lifted by ginger.
