The Standard Cup (Yogi Tea Organic Alkaline Herbs)

Yogi Tea Organic Alkaline Herbs is a busy, multi-herb Ayurvedic-style blend, lemongrass, fennel, peppermint and ginger with cinnamon, cardamom and liquorice. Brewed five minutes, the resulting brew opens bright with lemongrass and fennel, cools through the middle with mint, and finishes gently spiced and lightly sweet from the liquorice.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yogi Tea Organic Alkaline Herbs
  • 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, optional, to taste
  • A slice of lemon, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in your favourite mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the herbs and spices come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Taste, and add a little honey or a slice of lemon if you like, though the liquorice gives a natural sweetness.
  5. Sip warm and enjoy a complex, refreshing cup.
  6. The liquorice gives real natural sweetness; taste before adding honey, as many prefer this blend unsweetened.
What you'll end up with: A caffeine-free, multi-herb cup, bright and minty up front and gently spiced and sweet to finish.
