Lemon, Ginger and Honey Lemonade
A long, refreshing lemonade built on lemon and ginger tea with fresh lemon, honey and soda water. Add vodka for a grown up version.

This turns Dragonfly's lemon and ginger tea into a long, refreshing lemonade. Brew the tea strong, sweeten it with honey while it is hot, then cool it and build it over ice with plenty of fresh lemon juice and a top of soda water.

The tea already carries lemon and ginger, so the fresh lemon and fizz just sharpen and lengthen it. Makes one tall glass.
You'll need
- 2 tea bags of Dragonfly Organic Lively Lemon and Ginger
- 200ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
- 100ml fresh lemon juice (about 2 small lemons)
- 100ml cold soda water
- 2 teaspoons of clear honey
- Optional 50ml shot of vodka, well chilled
- 1 fresh lemon wheel, for garnish
- 1 tall 450ml glass, chilled
- Enough cubed ice (about 250g)
- 1 small jug for steeping, 1 saucer for covering
Method
- Chill a tall glass.
- Steep two tea bags in 200ml of freshly boiled water for seven minutes, covered, then lift them out.
- Stir the honey into the hot tea until it dissolves, then cool it down by standing the jug in cold water.
- Fill the glass with ice and pour over the cooled tea and the fresh lemon juice.
- Top with cold soda water and add a lemon wheel.
- For a grown up version, fold in a shot of chilled vodka before the soda.
