Exact quantities, then the method.
Pomegranate makes one of the better tea spritzes. Chill a brew of Twinings Pomegranate Green Tea, build it over ice with soda and a squeeze of lime, and the tart fruit takes to the fizz at once. The deep ruby colour means it looks after itself on a drinks table, no garnish fuss required.

You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Twinings Pomegranate Green Tea
- 300ml freshly boiled water, cooled to around 80C (check with a thermometer)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 200ml chilled soda water
- 1 lime, half juiced and half sliced
- A handful of pomegranate seeds
- Plenty of ice
Method
- Let the boiled water stand for about a minute, then steep the 3 bags for 3 minutes and lift them out without squeezing.
- Stir in the honey while warm if using, then leave to cool and chill.
- Fill two tall glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over, leaving room at the top.
- Add the lime juice, top each with chilled soda water, and stir gently.
- Finish with lime slices and a scatter of pomegranate seeds, and serve straight away.
- For deeper colour and a touch more tartness, stir a splash of pure pomegranate juice into each glass before topping with soda.
