This is about as English as a mocktail gets. Chill a brew of Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea, then build it up with cloudy apple juice, a squeeze of lemon and a splash of soda. The result is a long, orchard-fresh glass with a little fizz and no alcohol, the sort of thing to hand round in the garden.

You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea
- 300ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
- 100ml cloudy apple juice, chilled
- 150ml chilled soda water
- 1 lemon, half juiced and half sliced
- Plenty of ice
Method
- Let the boiled water stand for about a minute, then steep the 3 bags for 3 minutes and lift them out without squeezing.
- Leave to cool, then chill.
- Fill two tall glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over, then add the apple juice.
- Add the lemon juice, top each with chilled soda water, and stir gently.
- Finish with lemon slices and serve straight away.
- Use cloudy apple juice rather than clear for extra depth and a more rounded, less acidic finish.
