The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Tetley Super Green Strawberry and Raspberry is an easy-drinking green: the berries soften the green base so it comes through sweet and fruity rather than grassy, which makes it a gentle option if plain Green Tea has always seemed too sharp for you.

As with any green, the thing to watch is the water. A full boil scorches the leaf and turns it bitter, drowning the berry, so give the kettle a minute or so to drop off the boil before pouring.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Tetley Super Green Strawberry and Raspberry
  • 200ml just-off-boil water cooled to about 80C (boil the kettle, then let it stand for roughly 90 seconds)
  • Optional: a little honey

Method

  1. Boil the kettle, then leave it about 90 seconds to settle to roughly 80C.
  2. Drop a bag in your mug and pour over 200ml of the cooled water.
  3. Steep two to three minutes and lift the bag out without pressing it.
  4. The berries sweeten it naturally, so drink it as it is, adding a little honey only if you like.
What you'll end up with: A soft, sweet, fruity green cup, strawberry and raspberry over a clean base with no bitter edge.
