The Standard Cup (Tropical Sun Ginseng)
Pure ginseng root, earthy and faintly bittersweet with a slow warmth. Caffeine free, and the better for a little honey.

Tropical Sun Ginseng is pure dried ginseng root, so it brews up earthy and faintly bittersweet, with a slow warmth that builds as you drink. It is a world away from the sharp citrus and floral herbals, more of a grown up, contemplative cup, and it takes well to a little honey. Caffeine free.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tropical Sun Ginseng
- 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- Honey, to taste
- A slice of lemon, optional
Method
- Pop the ginseng bag in your favourite mug.
- Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the earthy root opens up.
- Lift out the bag without squeezing it, to keep the bitterness gentle.
- Stir in a little honey to balance the earthiness, and add a slice of lemon if you like.
- Sip slowly and enjoy the warming, earthy cup.
- Give it the full 5 minutes; a short brew tastes thin and medicinal, while the full steep rounds the bitterness.
