The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Berry Bliss is a soft, fruity infusion that brews in three minutes flat with boiling water. To make a little more of it, drop a few fresh raspberries into the finished cup: they add colour, a hint of real berry sweetness and a nice touch when you reach the bottom.

Keep the steep short so the berry flavour stays clean rather than tannic. Makes one mug.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Lipton Berry Bliss
  • 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
  • 3 fresh raspberries
  • 1 250ml mug, warmed
  • 1 saucer for covering during steep

Method

  1. Warm a mug and pour in 250ml of freshly boiled water.
  2. Add the tea bag, cover with a saucer and steep for three minutes.
  3. Lift the bag out without squeezing it.
  4. Drop in a few fresh raspberries and serve.
  5. Keep to three minutes; a longer steep dulls the berry flavour and adds a tannic edge.
What you'll end up with: A clear, rosy cup with a soft, rounded berry flavour and a fresh lift from the raspberries. Easy-drinking and gently sweet.
