The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Fruit-flavoured greens are made for cold brewing. With no hot water to draw out tannin, Twinings Mango and Lychee Green Tea steeps slowly in the fridge and gives up its mango and lychee cleanly, leaving a sweet, fruity jug with barely a trace of bitterness. It is about the easiest iced tea going: bags in, water on, wait.

⏱ 5 min plus overnight 🍽 Serves 4 📊 Easy 📚 Cold Brew Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Mango and Lychee Green Tea
  • 1 litre cold water
  • A little honey, to taste (optional)
  • Ice and a few mango pieces, to serve

Method

  1. Put the 4 bags into a large jug and pour over the cold water.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours, or overnight.
  3. Lift out the bags (no need to squeeze), and stir in a little honey if you want it sweeter.
  4. Serve over ice with a few fresh mango pieces.
  5. Because cold water never pulls out tannin, you can stretch the steep to 16 hours for a deeper fruit hit with no risk of bitterness.
What you'll end up with: A sweet, fruit-forward cold brew carrying clear mango and lychee, with no sharp edge to it.
