You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Typhoo Original Breakfast
  • 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A splash of milk
  • Sugar to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Boil fresh water and pour it over the bag at a full 100C.
  2. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes to bring it to strength.
  3. Press the bag against the side of the mug, then lift it out.
  4. Add milk, and sugar if you take it.
  5. For a stronger cup, give the bag a second short dunk rather than a long steep, which avoids a stewed taste.
What you'll end up with: A good, honest everyday cup that does the job, happy with a splash of milk.
