Where the lemon version is sharp and bracing, the Spanish orange zest gives a sweeter, rounder, almost marmalade-edged citrus that is gentler on the palate while still reading bright off the cup. Underneath is the same sturdy black base, so you get real tea body rather than flavoured water, and the finish is markedly clean, free of the soapy orange oil tail that spoils cheaper orange teas. Of the Lipton citrus pair, choose this if you want comforting and mellow, the lemon if you want zingy and wide-awake. It is lovely with a swirl of honey on a cold afternoon and makes a softer, sweeter iced tea than the lemon does. Drink it black to keep the zest clean.
