The fruitiest of Yorkshire dessert brews: jammy cherry up front, then a distinct marzipan almond note that genuinely lands the Bakewell, all on the brand strong black base so it does not go thin. Marzipan is the make-or-break, if almond reads as lovely to you this is a treat, if it reads as soapy or synthetic no tea will fix that, so know your own palate. Sweeter and more confectionery than the biscuit or caramel versions; an afternoon indulgence rather than a daily cup, and it does take milk.
