You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Twinings Scotland's Ceylon Tea
  • 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A splash of milk
  • Sugar or honey, optional, to taste

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in a big mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a proper builder strength.
  3. Lift out the bag, giving it a gentle squeeze if you like a stronger cup.
  4. Add a splash of milk, and sugar or honey if you take it.
  5. Stir and enjoy a brisk, bright everyday cup.
  6. Ceylon brews brighter and clearer than Assam or English Breakfast; hold it to the light and the copper amber colour shows.
