Spiced Orange Sangria (Twinings Orange and Cinnamon, Adult Cocktail)
A red sangria deepened with chilled Twinings Orange and Cinnamon, red wine, orange and a cinnamon stick. For over-18s.

This is a festive red sangria with a spiced tea backbone. Chilled Twinings Orange and Cinnamon deepens the red wine and fresh orange, giving the jug a cosy, lightly spiced edge that sits somewhere between sangria and mulled wine, but served cold. For over-18s, in sensible measures.

You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Twinings Orange and Cinnamon
- 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- 1 bottle chilled red wine
- 1 orange and 1 apple, sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey, or to taste
- A cinnamon stick, soda water to top, and plenty of ice
Method
- Steep the 3 tea bags in the boiled water for 4 minutes, then lift them out and stir in the honey while warm.
- Leave the spiced tea to cool, then chill it well.
- Pour the red wine and the chilled tea into a large jug, add the sliced fruit and a cinnamon stick.
- Chill for at least an hour so the flavours mingle.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour over the sangria and top each with a splash of soda. Drink responsibly.
- Use a young, fruity Rioja or Tempranillo, not a tannic Cabernet; the lighter red carries the cinnamon and orange better.
