You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Tetley Decaf Pure Green Tea
  • 150ml just off boil water cooled to about 80C (boil, then rest the kettle for roughly 90 seconds)
  • A small whisk or milk frother
  • Optional: a little honey, or warm milk to make a latte

Method

  1. Snip open the tea bag and tip the fine green leaf into a wide cup or bowl.
  2. Add a splash of the 80C water and whisk to a paste, then add the rest and whisk briskly in a zig zag until frothy.
  3. The fine leaf gives a matcha style froth and a fuller, greener cup than steeping. It will be a little cloudy, which is just the leaf.
  4. Sweeten with a little honey, or top with warm frothed milk for a caffeine free green latte.
What you'll end up with: A frothy, vivid, matcha style decaf green cup, fuller and greener than a steeped bag, with no caffeine.
