Green Tea, Lime And Cucumber Spritz (Decaf Mocktail)

This spritz takes a chilled brew of Twinings Pure Green Decaf and wakes it up with soda, fresh lime and a few rounds of cucumber. The result is bright and alcohol free, easy enough for a warm afternoon yet calm enough for the evening, since there is no caffeine in it.

⏱ 10 min plus chilling 🍽 Makes 2 glasses 📊 Easy 📚 Tea Mocktails

You'll need

  • 3 tea bags of Twinings Pure Green Decaf Tea
  • 300ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 200ml chilled soda water
  • 1 lime, half juiced and half sliced
  • A few slices of cucumber
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. Let the boiled water stand for about a minute, then steep the 3 bags for 3 minutes and lift them out without squeezing.
  2. Stir in the honey while warm if using, then leave to cool and chill.
  3. Fill two tall glasses with ice and a few cucumber slices, then pour the chilled tea over, leaving room at the top.
  4. Add the lime juice, top each with chilled soda water, and stir gently.
  5. Finish with lime slices and serve straight away.
  6. The cucumber is optional, but it earns its place: it keeps the drink fresh and stops the soda tasting flat.
What you'll end up with: A crisp, grassy cooler with bright lime and cool cucumber, alcohol free and free of caffeine.
