Green Tea, Lime and Cucumber Spritz (Decaf Mocktail)
teas.co.uk · 10 min plus chilling · Makes 2 glasses
You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Twinings Pure Green Decaf Tea
- 300ml freshly boiled water, cooled to around 80C (check with a thermometer)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 200ml chilled soda water
- 1 lime, half juiced and half sliced
- A few slices of cucumber
- Plenty of ice
Method
- Let the boiled water stand a minute, then the 3 bags of decaf green tea get 3 minutes; lift them out, no squeezing.
- Stir honey into the warm decaf green if you use it, then cool and chill.
- Load two tall glasses with ice and a few cucumber slices, then pour over the chilled decaf green, leaving space on top.
- Lime juice goes in, chilled soda tops each cucumber glass, and a gentle stir follows.
- Lime slices on the cucumber spritz, then serve.
- The cucumber is optional, but it earns its place: it keeps the drink fresh and stops the soda tasting flat.
