How To Brew Evening Infusion

This is a chamomile blend with lemon balm and mint alongside, all of them caffeine free and gentle. Brewed on its own it is soft and faintly sweet, with a mild floral character that needs no milk or sugar.

Keep it covered while it steeps so the chamomile's aromatics stay in the cup rather than drifting off in the steam. Five minutes draws everything out without turning it bitter.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Lipton Evening Infusion
  • 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
  • 1 250ml mug, warmed
  • 1 saucer for covering during steep

Method

  1. Warm your mug and bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add one tea bag and pour over 250ml of just boiled water.
  3. Cover and steep for five minutes to draw out the chamomile.
  4. Lift out the bag, draining it against the rim.
  5. Drink it as it is; a small spoon of honey suits it if you like, but it needs no milk.
  6. Tip: a small spoon of honey dissolves easily into the hot brew and works well with chamomile.
What you'll end up with: A gentle, faintly sweet cup of chamomile, lemon balm and mint, caffeine free and clean.
