Iced Tetley Green Tea with Lemon is one of the easiest iced teas to get right, because the lemon is already in the blend. There is no need for sugar syrup or a squeeze of citrus, just a properly brewed Green Tea poured over ice that tastes naturally bright and clean.

Serves one. The only trick is to brew it double strength so the melting ice dilutes it back to a balanced cup rather than a weak one, and to keep the water at 80C so the concentrate stays smooth instead of bitter.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tetley Green Tea with Lemon
- 100ml just-off-boil water cooled to about 80C (boil, then rest the kettle for roughly 90 seconds)
- 100ml cold water
- A tall glass of ice
- Optional: a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint
Method
- Make a double-strength brew so the ice cannot dilute it to nothing. Let the boiled kettle stand for about 90 seconds, then pour 100ml of the 80C water over one bag.
- Steep for just two minutes, then lift the bag out and let it drip rather than squeezing it.
- Give the concentrate a few minutes to cool, then top it up with 100ml of cold water to bring it back to drinking strength.
- Fill a tall glass with ice, pour the tea over, and add a lemon slice and a sprig of mint.
