An iced jug of tart, ruby pink Twinings Balance hibiscus, with rose, cool mint and fresh lemon. Caffeine free.

Iced Hibiscus And Lemon Pitcher (Twinings Balance)

Iced hibiscus is a properly refreshing cold drink, tart and ruby pink like a Jamaica agua fresca. Twinings Balance brings that hibiscus plus a little rose and cool mint, and a squeeze of lemon sharpens it further. No caffeine.

⏱ 10 min plus chilling 🍽 Serves 4 📊 Easy 📚 Iced Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Balance
  • 800ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 lemon, half juiced and half sliced
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. Brew strong: steep the 4 bags in the boiled water for 6 minutes, then lift them out.
  2. Stir in the honey while warm if using, then leave to cool and chill.
  3. Pour the chilled tea into a large jug and add the lemon juice.
  4. Add the lemon slices and mint, top with plenty of ice, and serve in tall glasses.
  5. This keeps in the fridge overnight, but stir in the lemon juice just before serving so it stays bright.
What you'll end up with: A long, tart glass of hibiscus with a cool mint lift and bright lemon, very refreshing.
