This might be the most refreshing jug in the book. Twinings Digest is peppermint led, so iced and sharpened with lemon it drinks like a cool Moroccan style mint tea, with no caffeine in it at all.

Makes a jug for four. Brew it strong, chill it down, then pour long over ice with lemon and mint.

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Digest
  • 800ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 lemon, half juiced and half sliced
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. Brew strong: steep the 4 bags in the boiled water for 6 minutes, then lift them out.
  2. Stir in the honey while warm if using, then leave to cool and chill.
  3. Pour the chilled tea into a large jug and add the lemon juice.
  4. Add the lemon slices and mint, top with plenty of ice, and serve in tall glasses.
  5. Drop in extra fresh mint as it chills to deepen the cooling note.
What you'll end up with: A long, cooling glass of peppermint and lemon, made for a hot afternoon.
