Iced Berry Green Tea Pitcher (Tetley Super Green Strawberry and Raspberry)
A family sized jug of iced green tea, gently fruity from the berry bags and brewed cool at 80C.

This is a jug of iced Green Tea that practically makes itself. The berries baked into Tetley's Super Green bags carry enough natural sweetness that you only need a touch of honey, if any.

The trick is the water temperature. At 80C the green tea stays soft rather than turning bitter. Sweeten it while still warm, then chill it hard over plenty of ice.
You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Tetley Super Green Strawberry and Raspberry
- 400ml just off boil water cooled to about 80C (boil, then rest the kettle for roughly 90 seconds)
- 2 to 3 teaspoons honey or sugar, to taste
- 500ml cold water and plenty of ice
- Fresh berries, lemon slices and mint to serve
Method
- Rest the boiled kettle for about 90 seconds, then steep three bags in 400ml of roughly 80C water for 3 minutes. Lift the bags out without squeezing.
- Stir the honey into the warm tea until it dissolves, and let it cool.
- Pour into a jug and top with the cold water and plenty of ice.
- Add fresh berries, lemon slices and mint, and serve over more ice.
- Made ahead, the pitcher keeps in the fridge for up to two days; stir and add fresh ice before serving.
