The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

This makes a lighter hot chocolate from Yogi Tea Organic Choco: brew it strong, top with warm frothed milk and a little honey, and the Cocoa and chai-like spice come through as a comforting, chocolatey mugful, without the heaviness of a proper hot chocolate.

⏱ 10 min 🍽 Makes 1 large latte 📊 Easy 📚 Hot Chocolate Recipes

You'll need

  • 2 tea bags of Yogi Tea Organic Choco
  • 150ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 200ml milk of your choice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey, to taste
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon or grated chocolate, to finish

Method

  1. Steep the 2 tea bags in the boiled water for 6 minutes to make a strong, cocoa-rich brew, then lift them out.
  2. Warm the milk in a small pan or the microwave, then froth it with a whisk or frother until foamy.
  3. Stir the honey into the hot choco brew.
  4. Pour the brew into a large mug, then top with the warm frothed milk.
  5. Finish with a pinch of cinnamon or a little grated chocolate and serve straight away.
  6. Stir in a half teaspoon of coconut sugar instead of honey; its molasses note deepens the cocoa, as in a real hot chocolate.
What you'll end up with: A comforting, lightly chocolatey latte with cocoa, warm spice and frothed milk.
