A Simple Cup of Peach Paradise

A gentle stone fruit cup of Peach Paradise tea, brewed for three minutes and finished with a slice of fresh peach.

A Simple Cup Of Peach Paradise

Peach Paradise is a gentle stone fruit infusion, and it asks for almost nothing: boiling water and three minutes. For a little more, slide a thin slice of fresh peach into the cup at the end. It echoes the peach in the tea and adds a soft, real sweetness as it warms.

Do not over steep, or the soft peach note turns dull. Makes one mug.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Lipton Peach Paradise
  • 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
  • 1 thin slice of fresh peach (skin on)
  • 1 250ml mug, warmed
  • 1 saucer for covering during steep

Method

  1. Warm a mug and fill it with 250ml of freshly boiled water.
  2. Add the tea bag, cover and steep for three minutes.
  3. Lift out the bag without pressing it.
  4. Slide in a thin slice of fresh peach and drink.
  5. Three minutes is plenty; steep it longer and the delicate peach flavour fades behind the tannin.
What you'll end up with: A soft, clear, golden cup with a gentle peach flavour and a fresh lift from the fruit slice. Light, mellow and easy to drink, with no need for sugar.
