Lemon and Ginger Hot Toddy (Twinings Bioblends)
A whisky hot toddy on a lemon ginger tea base, with honey and a slice of lemon, for a cold night in.

A hot toddy wants ginger, lemon, honey and whisky, which is exactly what this gives you. Twinings Bioblends Lemon, Ginger and Turmeric brews up warm and zesty, the honey rounds off the edges, and a measure of whisky turns it into a proper toddy for a cold night.

Makes one glass. Brew strong, stir in the honey and whisky, then finish with a slice of lemon.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Bioblends Lemon, Ginger and Turmeric
- 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- 35ml whisky
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 slices of lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Method
- Brew strong: steep the bag in the boiled water for 5 minutes, then lift it out.
- Stir the honey into the hot tea until it dissolves.
- Add the whisky and the juice of one lemon slice, and stir.
- Pour into a heatproof glass, drop in the second lemon slice and the cinnamon stick, and serve warm.
- Warm the glass with hot water first so the toddy does not cool too fast.
