The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Typhoo QT is Instant Tea with the milk powder already in it, so there is no bag to brew and nothing to add. You spoon the granules into a mug, pour on hot water and stir, and that is the whole job.

It is built for speed: a desk, a campsite, anywhere you have a kettle and a spoon but not much else. Use more or fewer granules to make it stronger or weaker.

You'll need

  • 2 to 3 teaspoons of Typhoo QT One Cup Instant Tea, to taste
  • 200ml hot, just-boiled water
  • Sugar to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Spoon 2 to 3 teaspoons of the granules into a mug, more or less to taste.
  2. Pour over 200ml of just-boiled water.
  3. Stir well until fully dissolved; the whitener is built in, so no milk needed.
  4. Add sugar if you take it. No waiting, nothing to bin.
  5. Give it another stir halfway down, as the granules can settle as you drink.
What you'll end up with: A quick, milky cup ready in moments, with nothing to brew and nothing to add.
