Nescafe Toffee Nut Latte Instant Coffee, 7 Sachets
Most toffee nut drinks fail in one of two directions. Lose the nut and you have a caramel latte with an odd aftertaste; lose the toffee and you have sweetened milk with a rumour of coffee in it. The burnt-sugar half carries the sweetness and the depth, the roasted, faintly oily half stops the whole thing collapsing into syrup, and this one keeps the two in step. It is loud and it is unapologetically sweet. It belongs to cold afternoons, long drives and a flask on a walk, not to Monday morning.
Nescafe Toffee Nut Latte Instant Coffee, in brief.
Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte is the coffee-shop winter flavour in a tear-open sachet, seven to a pack and one mug from each, picked into the Teas.co.uk curator selection as the treat pack that turns a kettle into a counter.
Toffee Nut is a flavour name, not an ingredient list: if nut allergy matters in your house, the allergen declaration on the current UK pack is the only thing to trust.
Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte is the coffee-shop flavour most people associate with December, sold as a seven-sachet pack you can keep in a cupboard all year. One sachet, one mug, hot water and a spoon.
Toffee nut is a harder flavour to build than vanilla or caramel, because it has to carry two ideas at once. The toffee half brings the sweetness and the burnt-sugar depth, and the nut half brings the roasted, slightly oily note that stops the whole thing tasting like syrup. This sachet keeps the two in step, which is the main reason it is the highest-rated pack in the Nescafé flavoured sachet line.

The Story Behind Nescafé
Nescafé is the coffee arm of Nestlé and the brand that made soluble coffee an ordinary cupboard item. The single-serve milk sachet came later and solves a practical problem: most people take coffee with milk, and milk is the part that does not travel. Once the milk is in the powder, adding a flavour costs almost nothing, and flavoured sachets are how the format reached people who would never buy a jar of instant at all.
Nescafé do not publish a green coffee origin, a bean ratio, a milk-solids figure or the composition of the toffee nut flavouring to us for this pack, so none of those appears here. Where this page tells you to read the pack, it is because the pack knows and we do not. That applies with particular force to the allergen declaration on this product, for reasons set out below.
Packaging: Follow the current UK pack and local-authority guidance; components can require different disposal routes.
What You Are Actually Buying
- Count: seven sachets, one mug each, which is a week of one-a-day.
- Flavoured and sweetened: both, by design. There is no unsweetened version of this one, and sweetness cannot be lifted out of a blended mix.
- Nuts: the name is a flavour description. Whether the pack contains or may contain nuts is a question only the current UK allergen declaration can answer, and we do not answer it for you.
- What it is not: not a pod, not a decaf, not a syrup you dose yourself. The flavour is fixed in the blend.
Ideal Serving Conditions
Flavoured sachets punish overheating more than plain ones do. The toffee note is fairly robust, but the roasted nut aromatics are light and volatile, and water straight off a rolling boil drives a good share of them off as steam. That is the difference between a mug that tastes of toffee and nut and one that tastes only of sweetness.
The Standard Mug
- Water: let the kettle stand about half a minute after it clicks, so you are pouring at roughly 90 degrees Celsius.
- Volume: around 180ml. Too much water thins the nut note first and leaves the toffee behind on its own.
- Order: powder in, a splash of water, stir to a smooth paste, then top up. Stages give a cleaner drink and a better last mouthful.
- Cover it: a saucer over the mug for the first minute keeps the aromatics in the liquid rather than in the kitchen.
Two Ways To Change It
- For a richer mug: paste the sachet with 40ml of hot water and top with 140ml of hot milk. Toffee and dairy belong together and this is where the pack tastes best.
- For less sweetness: use the whole sachet in a 220ml mug with half a teaspoon of plain instant granules. That lifts the coffee and drops the relative sweetness while keeping the flavour, which using less of the sachet cannot do.
Getting It Right in the Cup
- Water temperature: about 90 degrees Celsius. Our recommendation, not a pack instruction.
- Measure: one whole sachet. The mix is blended as a single dose.
- Volume: 180ml, or up to 220ml if you want it gentler.
- Sugar: none needed. Taste it before you reach for any.
- Storage: sealed and dry in a cupboard, away from strong-smelling things. Flavoured powders pick up kitchen odours as readily as they pick up damp.
- Best with: a cold afternoon, a plain biscuit, a bonfire, or the last hour of a long drive.

The taste profile
How does it compare
Nescafe Toffee Nut Latte Instant Coffee, 7 Sachets is a fixed recipe in a strip, so everything interesting happens in how you make it up and what you stand it next to. Six builds below, starting with the mug the sachet was designed for and ending with two that treat it as a store-cupboard ingredient.
Made with this tea
The Standard Mug
How to make The Standard Mug with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 1 sachet Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 180ml hot water, about 90°C
- A saucer to cover the mug
- Wait half a minute after the kettle clicks. The roasted nut note is the part that a rolling boil takes away.
- Tip the whole sachet into a mug, add about 40ml of the water and stir to a smooth paste.
- Top up to roughly 180ml, stir again and cover for a minute if you are not drinking it straight away.
What you'll end up with: Toffee at the front, roasted nut behind it, and both still in the mug rather than in the air above it.
The Milk Build
How to make The Milk Build with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 1 sachet Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 40ml hot water
- 140ml hot milk, dairy or oat
- Paste the sachet with 40ml of hot water until completely smooth.
- Heat 140ml of milk to just below a simmer and pour it in slowly, stirring as you go.
- Drink it hot. This build cools faster than the water-only mug.
What you'll end up with: Heavier, rounder and closer to the counter version. Toffee and dairy belong together, and this is the build worth making when there is milk in the fridge.
Iced Toffee Nut Latte
How to make Iced Toffee Nut Latte with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 1 sachet Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 50ml hot water
- A full glass of ice
- 150ml cold milk
- Dissolve the sachet in 50ml of hot water, stirring until nothing gritty remains.
- Cool for a minute so it does not melt the ice on contact.
- Pour over a full glass of ice and top with cold milk.
What you'll end up with: Go long on the ice; cold makes sweet drinks read sweeter still.
Toffee Affogato
How to make Toffee Affogato with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 1 sachet Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 60ml hot water
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- Dissolve the sachet in just 60ml of hot water to make a strong, syrupy mix.
- Scoop the ice cream into a small bowl or a short glass.
- Pour the hot mix over at the table and eat it before it collapses.
What you'll end up with: A pudding out of a cupboard. The toffee sachet does this better than any other in the range, because burnt sugar over cold vanilla is the whole point of a butterscotch sundae.
Toffee Coffee Frosting
How to make Toffee Coffee Frosting with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 1 sachet Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
- 100g soft butter
- 180g icing sugar
- Dissolve the sachet in 1 tablespoon of boiling water to a thick paste and let it cool completely.
- Beat 100g of soft butter with 180g of sifted icing sugar until pale.
- Add the cooled paste and beat again until the colour is even.
What you'll end up with: A butterscotch-leaning coffee frosting with no separate coffee to brew. Use less icing sugar than usual; the sachet has brought its own sweetness.
Flask Coffee For A Cold Walk
How to make Flask Coffee For A Cold Walk with Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte.
- 2 sachets Nescafé Toffee Nut Latte
- 100ml hot water
- 300ml hot milk
- A warmed 500ml flask
- Warm the flask with hot water first and tip it out; a cold flask costs you half the heat.
- Paste both sachets with 100ml of hot water in a jug until completely smooth.
- Add 300ml of hot milk, stir, and pour into the flask right away.
What you'll end up with: Two large cups of hot toffee coffee that hold up for hours. Sweet milky drinks survive a flask better than black coffee, which goes stewed and flat.

Sourcing & blend. Nescafe Toffee Nut Latte Instant Coffee, 7 Sachets is made by Nescafé, the coffee arm of Nestlé and the brand that turned soluble coffee into an ordinary cupboard item. The flavoured milk sachet is a late branch of that idea: once the milk is already in the powder so the drink can travel, a flavour costs almost nothing and brings in people who would not otherwise buy instant coffee at all. Toffee nut is the hardest of those flavours to build, because the roasted note has to stay audible under the sweetness. Green coffee origin, bean ratio, milk-solids content and the composition of the flavouring are not declared to us for this pack, so we do not describe them. We have run no brewing trials on this product and hold no brand specification sheet; the tasting profile is our own editorial assessment against the current pack format and the brand's published description.
What's in Nescafe Toffee Nut Latte Instant Coffee, 7 Sachets, and what isn't:
- In: a single-serve powder mix of instant coffee, a milk or whitener component, a sweetening component and a toffee nut flavouring, made up with hot water alone.
- Allergen note, and the important one on this product: Toffee Nut is a flavour name and not an ingredient list. We state neither that it contains nuts nor that it is free from them, because only the allergen declaration and may-contain statement on the current UK pack can settle that, and it is the answer that matters to anyone with a nut allergy. Treat dairy as likely and confirm on the pack whether the milk element is dairy milk powder or a non-dairy whitener. The same pack statement is the authority for gluten and everything else.
