Curator note · Nescafé
Among instants this is one of the genuinely closest-to-brewed: freeze-dried granules with 5 percent real ground beans, a medium-dark roast that comes out smooth and notably less bitter than ordinary instant, with a real crema and bright citrus-caramel notes. It is the flagship of the Azera range and the everyday upgrade for people who want a proper-tasting cup without a machine. Good black for the clean profile, silkier with milk. The Intense version exists if you want it stronger; this is the balanced, all-day one.

Nescafé Azera Americano Coffee, 90g is a medium-intensity instant coffee made from soluble coffee with 5% finely ground roasted coffee. Nescafé describes it as rich and velvety, with a fruity aroma, balanced flavour and a crema-like layer.

The tin is marked for 50 mugs. For one mug, use one teaspoon (about 1.8g) with 200ml hot water and stir; use up to two teaspoons if you prefer more strength. Serve black for an Americano-style cup, or add milk to taste. This is instant coffee: no pods, grinder or coffee machine are required.

What is Nescafé Azera Americano?

Nescafé Azera Americano is instant coffee made to give a fuller, more coffee-shop-style cup than a basic soluble coffee. The current ingredient declaration is simple: soluble coffee with 5% finely ground roasted coffee. It is not a pod and it does not require an espresso machine.

What does it taste like?

Nescafé describes this Americano as medium in intensity, rich and velvety, with a fruity aroma, balanced flavour and a crema-like layer. Our editorial view is that it suits someone who wants a rounded black coffee with more body than a standard instant, without moving to the stronger Azera Americano Intense.

How to make a mug

For the pack's standard serving, add one teaspoon (about 1.8g) to a mug, pour in 200ml hot water and stir. Nescafé's current guide allows one to two teaspoons, depending on the strength you prefer, and recommends hot rather than boiling water. Drink it black for an Americano-style cup, or add milk and sugar to taste.
