Twinings Mango and Lychee Green Tea combines tropical mango and floral lychee with a Chinese green tea base. A distinctive, Asian-influenced flavour (both are signature South East Asian fruits), excellent cold-brewed, and a good fit for midday work cups and Asian-food pairings. The blend

A Chinese green tea base (the caffeine and L-theanine source), mango pieces, lychee flavour, and occasionally fruit petals or garnish depending on batch. The lychee is delivered mostly via flavouring (real lychee does not dry-blend well); the mango uses real dried fruit pieces.

How it tastes

Tropical mango leads, sweet and lush; floral lychee follows, delicate and slightly perfumed; the grassy green base sits underneath. How to brew

1 bag in 200ml water at about 80°C, not boiling.
Cover the cup; both fruits' aromatics are very volatile.
Steep 2 to 3 minutes only; the green base over-extracts quickly.
Drink black; honey is fine but unnecessary.
For iced: cold brew 4 bags in 1 litre of water, fridge 6 to 8 hours, serve over ice.
For a bubble-tea base: cold brew strong, then mix with cooked tapioca pearls and a splash of milk.
