Prep6 min YieldMakes 1 mug DifficultyEasy
Yogi Tea Organic Ashwagandha Balance, 17 Tea Bags 34g, Fruit and Herbal Tea, Yogi Tea GmbH. Sold by Teas.co.uk.

Yogi Tea Organic Ashwagandha Balance is an Ayurvedic-style blend of ashwagandha, passionflower and acerola cherry. Brewed five minutes, the infusion is naturally caffeine-free, deep reddish-pink, with a bright, tart berry zing on top and a gentle earthy root note underneath. A little honey balances the tartness.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yogi Tea Organic Ashwagandha Balance
  • 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, optional, to taste
  • A slice of lemon, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in your favourite mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the berry and root come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Stir in a little honey to balance the tart berry zing, and add a slice of lemon if you like.
  5. Sip warm and enjoy the pretty, fruity cup.
  6. It brews deep reddish-pink from the hibiscus and tart cherry; the strong colour shows the bag has steeped long enough.
What you'll end up with: A caffeine-free, deep reddish-pink cup, tart and berryish up top with a soft earthy root underneath.
