The Proper Hot Cup of Twinings Lemon Green Tea (80C, 2 Minutes)
Twinings Lemon Green Tea at 80C for two minutes, the citrus kept bright and the tea kept mellow.

There is already plenty of lemon in this blend, so the main job is to brew the Green Tea kindly. Let the kettle fall to around 80C, steep for two minutes, and the citrus stays bright while the leaf stays soft. Too much heat and the tea sharpens, which buries the lemon under bitterness.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Lemon Green Tea
- 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
- A slice of lemon, to taste (optional)
Method
- Boil the kettle, then let it stand for about a minute so the water drops to around 80C.
- Pop the bag into your cup and pour the water over.
- Steep for 2 minutes, no longer, to keep the leaf soft and let the lemon come through.
- Lift out the bag without squeezing it, add a slice of lemon if you like, and enjoy.
- Try it without extra lemon on the first cup to see how much is already in the blend before deciding whether to add a slice.
